Terms of Service

FamilyHub, on the App Store and Google Play

Effective: 25 September 2026 Last updated: 26 September 2026

1. This agreement

These terms are between you and Liquid Duck, MB, company code 307615390, Republic of Lithuania ("we", "us"). By creating an account, joining a household with a code, or using the app at all, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with data, and forms part of these terms.

2. Who may use FamilyHub

  • You must be 13 or older to hold an account.
  • Children take part through a seat created by a parent, not through an account of their own. By creating a seat for a child, you confirm that you are that child's parent or guardian, that you consent on their behalf, and that you are responsible for what they do in the app.
  • You are responsible for everyone you invite into your household.

3. Accounts, seats and invite codes

You may sign in with an email address and password, with Apple, with Google, or as a guest. Keep your credentials to yourself; anything done from your account is treated as done by you.

An invite code claims one specific person's seat, including their points, their streak and their history. It is a secret. Give it only to the person it belongs to, and only over a channel you trust. Codes expire 24 hours after they are issued, and a new one can always be issued.

A parent can see and change everything in their household — every event, every chore, every list, and every child's record, including things marked private. Marking an event private hides its title on a phone's own calendar; it does not hide anything from the parents of the household. The app is built for a family that shares, not for privacy from each other.

4. What the app does, and what it does not promise

FamilyHub keeps a household's calendar, chores, lists, rewards and wishes on the phones that belong to it. It works offline and syncs when it can.

That is best-effort, not a guarantee. Sync can be delayed or fail, a device can lose data before it has synced, and an edit made in two places at once resolves to whichever was saved last. Do not rely on FamilyHub as the only record of anything you cannot afford to lose, medical, legal or financial included.

We may change, add or withdraw features. If we withdraw something you paid for, section 5 says what happens.

5. Pro subscriptions

What Pro unlocks. A household of more than four people; mirroring the family's events into your phone's own calendar and reading your busy time back; the app in Spanish, German, French and Lithuanian; a second household, started or joined; and rules set for one child rather than for all of them.

One subscription covers the household. If any parent in a family subscribes, everyone in that family has Pro.

How it is billed. Through your Apple or Google account, at the price shown before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and cancelling is done in the App Store or Google Play — not here. We cannot cancel or refund on your behalf; refunds are Apple's or Google's to give under their own policies.

If a subscription lapses. Nothing is deleted. A household that has grown past four people keeps all of them; what it cannot do is add another. Calendar mirroring stops, and what you chose is remembered for when you come back.

Changes to the free tier. If we ever tighten what the free tier includes, it applies to new use, not retroactively to what a household already has, and we will say so in the app first.

6. Your content

What you put into FamilyHub stays yours. You give us the permission we need to run the service — to store it, to copy it between the phones in your household, and to show it to the people in that household. Nothing more, and nothing outside your household.

You promise that you have the right to upload what you upload. That matters most for photographs of other people and of children, and for anything you copy in from elsewhere.

Anything a child adds is the responsibility of the parent who created their seat.

7. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • break the law with it, or use it to harass, bully or frighten anybody;
  • upload someone else's personal information, or a photograph of someone who has not agreed to it;
  • try to reach a household you were not invited into, guess invite codes, or work around the limits the app enforces;
  • attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or automate access to it outside the app;
  • resell it or pass it off as your own.

We may suspend or close an account that does any of this.

8. Links from other websites

When you paste a link into a wishlist, our server fetches that page to read its title, price and picture. Those details belong to whoever published them, may be wrong, and may be out of date — a price in the app is not an offer from us or from the retailer. We do not endorse, and are not responsible for, anything on a site you link to.

9. The phone's own calendar

If you switch it on, the app writes your family's events into a calendar on your phone and can read the calendars you select. What it writes, it maintains: changing the target calendar or turning the feature off removes what it put there, and a calendar the app created is deleted with everything in it. Events you created yourself are never touched.

10. Ending it

You may stop at any time. Settings → Delete account removes every seat you hold and any household where you were the last parent — with everything in that household — and then removes the account. It cannot be undone.

We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these terms, or if we have to for legal or security reasons. If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give reasonable notice and a way to get your data out.

11. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or free of errors.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for lost data, or for anything arising from your reliance on the app as a record. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or EUR 50.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected — including, in the EU and UK, your rights on faulty digital content.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania, and the courts of Lithuania have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring proceedings in the country where you live, and the mandatory consumer protections of that country still apply.

14. If you got the app from Apple

This section applies to the iOS version and is required by Apple:

  • This agreement is between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability, a failure to conform to a legal requirement, or a claim under consumer protection or privacy law.
  • If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement or discharge of that claim.
  • You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
  • Your use must comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions in force when you use the app.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use FamilyHub afterwards means you accept it.
